Cusco-Sacred Valley-Machu Picchu

 

Four days to enjoy Cusco and its Colonial and Incan legacy, the natural beauty of the Sacred Valley and the incredible citadel of Machu Picchu.

Day 1        Lima-Cusco

Board morning flight to Cusco at Lima Airport (air ticket not included in tour package). Flight takes approximately 80 minutes. Meet and greet at the Cusco Airport and transfer to your hotel. City tour in the afternoon: Cusco's historical center which includes the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Church of Santo Domingo/Koricancha Temple and the surrounding archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Overnight.

Day 2        Cusco-Sacred Valley-Cusco (B.L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas: The village of Pisac and its marketplace* and ancient Ollantaytambo village and its archaeological site. Buffet lunch at a countryside restaurant on the way. Return to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight.

Day 3        Cusco-Machu Picchu-Cusco (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the train station to board Backpacker Service** train to Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes). Ride takes approximately 4 hours. Bus ride from the village to the Machu Picchu citadel. Guided tour in the spectacular Inca citadel surrounded by high mountains and jungle vegetation. Return to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon where you will wait for the train to Cusco. Upon arriving to Cusco you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 4        Cusco-Lima (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board your return flight to Lima.
